I got a by-invitation-only email to attend the Women of Independence Conference on the 6th and 7th of August. They're giving out a special by invitation rate of RM990 (selling price RM1,490). I know the company's not even gonna think about paying for it but I REALLY WANNA GO!!!!!!!This conference is all about empowering women and making them realize their potential in changing the world. My objective of going is to find ways on how I can contribute to elevate the status of women in Malaysia and how I can best optimise the skills that I have to further help my women friends!
So anybody out there who wants to contribute in realising my dreams to attend this?? Here's the deal:
1. Contribute RM250 and I will write you ONE PRESS RELEASE (or something equivalent to a one-pager);
2. Contribute RM350 and I will draft your COMPANY PROFILE (not more than 3 pages);
3. Contribute RM450 and I will cook for you for a whole week (groceries beli sendiri!);
4. Sponsor the whole RM990 and I will let you tap my brain for a whole month.
If any of the above does not meet your requirements, I am always open for negotiations. I can also clean, update blogs, weed your garden, give foot massages or babysit. I am also not ashamed to take any sympathy donations from you. At least it's towards a good cause.
give me your money. i will make a difference. and you'll feel good that you were a part of it.

wow! i can see one determined woman there. i can see one desperate woman there. i can see an independent woman. I can see a strong wo-MAN. Sure u need to go ah?
anyhow, i got struck when you said you want to elevate the status of women in malaysia. (i'm seeing this one-sided, solely based on my experience and just to be bitter about my situation). how is it that you can contribute to that? do you plan to set up NGO and pull women together in some ways to elevate our status? how is it at the end would benefit you, your family and your situation?
at the moment, you are already making us women at a high level - your current career path.
hi guile, i'm looking more on the economic status of women. I know a lot of women who have a lot of skills but they just don't know how to market themselves, or where to even start! Maybe we can set up a talent pool of these individuals and set up a strong network so that economically, we all can be independent! Then our children can go to better schools and we can afford REAL Chanel handbags ;)
go gal go! go gal go! i'm ashamed to say that i do not have the motivation to do that. *blush* i'm just being realistic about myself and my situation. i'm channeling my energies elsewhere. I do agree with you. However, I can only contribute the moral support. We women are independent. But we restrained ourselves and got stuck with it! We can be strong and independent without MEN. Yes we can!
